ISN'T ANYONE DOING THIS?
We are a White cis-gender man-woman couple. We have a daughter (now 6 years old) who is becoming more and more interested in and influenced by movies and pop culture. Most of the media out there is trash--reinforcing race, gender, class and ability stereotypes that harm people. On top of that, there really isn't a good go-to resource for parents who are concerned about these stereotypes and their impacts on children. The rating system is vague, commonsensemedia.org is useful but limited. So, in the interests of the revolution, we decided to create our own!
